William DeSantis, a Mental Health Educator for Fayetteville-Manlius School District and Contact Community Services, has accepted the opportunity to join the inaugural School Crisis Recovery and Renewal Project Leadership Fellowship. The project is an 8-month program that provides intensive training, coaching, and peer consultation to school crisis leaders nationwide committed to recovery and renewal. It is offered to twenty to twenty-five nationwide leaders. During this fellowship, all leaders with help co-construct national standards, train the trainers, and further be a resource to school crisis recovery and renewal. DeSantis plays an integral role in crisis leadership and management, serving the community with free suicide safety in school trainings, including but not limited to; Safetalk, Helping Students at Risk, More than Sad: Teen Depression and It’s Real Teens and Mental Health. DeSantis will continue his work to support Contact Community Services’ mission to help individuals and organizations create positive personal and social change to improve the quality of lives in Central New York.
Krysta Broeker, a Mental Health Educator for suicide safety in schools at Contact Community Services, has joined the inaugural School Crisis Recovery and Renewal Project Leadership Fellowship. The project is an 8-month program that provides intensive training, coaching, and peer consultation to school crisis leaders nationwide committed to recovery and renewal. It is offered to twenty to twenty-five nationwide leaders. During this fellowship, all leaders with help co-construct national standards, train the trainers, and further be a resource to school crisis recovery and renewal. Broeker plays an integral role in crisis leadership and management, serving the community with free suicide safety in school training, including but not limited to, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Question. Persuade. Refer. (QPR), More than Sad, It’s Real: Teens and Mental Health, Suicide Safety in Schools, School Crisis Team Training and Talk Saves Lives. These trainings are offered to the Onondaga County school communities, including students, parents, teaching staff and district administration in evidence-based practices, protocols, and trainings. Broeker will continue her work to support Contact Community Services’ mission to help individuals and organizations create positive personal and social change to improve the quality of lives in Central New York.
