Through the Student Assistance Program (SAP), school-based mental health professionals assist youth and their families during regular school hours. Student assistance counselors provide:

• Individual counseling
• Assessment
• Information and referral
• Linkage to school/community resources
• Crisis intervention
• Educational/counseling/support groups
• Educational/support programs for parents
• Mental health consultation
• Peer leadership activities

SAP operates in Fowler, Corcoran, Henninger, Institute of Technology at Syracuse Central and Nottingham high schools in Syracuse, Cicero North Syracuse High School and North Syracuse Junior High School.
