Paving "R" Way is a comprehensive after-school program at Syracuse’s Lincoln Middle School, a
21st Century Learning Center
site.
It is modeled after our very successful
Way To Go after-school program operating out of Southwest Community Center. The program provides academic / tutorial assistance, recreation, performing arts, health and mental health services, career exploration, and case management services. Hours of operation are:
- 3 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday
- Morning programming Tuesday through Thursday
- Evening programs various days of the week 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Individual Case Management
Youth development specialists work with parents, school, and other agencies in the youth’s life. Individual case management is the key to relationships and success in our after-school programs. The youth and parents know that our staff members are on-site and will be there for them on a daily basis, in case of emergencies or if they have nowhere else to turn. Often, parents who are unable to come to the school ask our staff members to advocate for their children.
Youth in our after-school programs develop social and life skills, increase their self-awareness, strengthen and develop protective factors, and experience the stability of a caring community of peers and adults.
