Child-Specific Interventions
This two-hour session provides an opportunity for teachers and/or teaching assistants to present specific examples of challenging student behaviors, explore the reason for the behavior, and learn practical strategies for handling those situations. They will apply the A-B-C problem-solving process to target behaviors of concern and develop strategies to effectively manage problematic behaviors of general ed and special ed students in a classroom setting.

Participants will learn how and why the environment contributes to a student’s disruptive behavior. They will also learn how they can minimize and even eliminate many negative behaviors by modifying their interactions with a student. Our behavioral specialists will share many effective interventions they have used with disruptive students in general education and special education classrooms.

Benefits of training

  • Teaching staff will learn practical strategies to employ immediately.
  • The learning environment will improve and teaching time will increase.
